How to clean and organize your makeup vanity.

Updated: Jul 4, 2021

After Covid and being home for many months, one day I took a look at my vanity which was covered with, well a little of everything, and said “enough!” It was time to clean my vanity, reorganize and get that “ahhhhh-zen” feeling again when getting ready.

I’m a little embarrased to even show my before. But the after is so worth it!!

1) Start by taking everything off and out of the drawers.

This will give you a clean slate to start with

2) Clean all surfaces.

Grab a wipe or spray and clean everything, even your makeup pallets, bottles, etc. So many of these products hold germs.

3) Go through all items.

This is the PERFECT time to purge! Get rid of all old make up, sponges, brushes etc.

4) Pick up or reuse organizers.

I picked up a few organizers from Target. They are aesthetically please and organize my makeup perfectly. For inside the drawer, I had small trays to help keep things organized so they don’t slide around.

5) Put it all back and enjoy!

The last step is to put everything back in a new place with your organizers and add any decor like flowers or frames that you like to make it feel special.
